Trafo already had one of the most striking pixel LED ceilings in Bratislava. But the owner knew something important: the dance floor is where the energy is, but the bar is where the money is made.

The Idea: Let the Bottles Glow #
The solution was elegant. The bar shelving was rebuilt using translucent plastic panels as the backing surface. Behind those panels — exactly where the bottles are stored — we installed addressable digital LED strips. The result: every bottle is backlit with a full-color pixel glow that can shift, pulse, breathe, or react in real time.
This is not decorative lighting for its own sake. It draws the eye directly to what matters most at a bar: the product. A backlit shelf full of spirits and mixers becomes a display, not just a storage unit. Customers look at it. They are drawn to it. They order from it.
The SPI addressable LED strips run through the shelving in parallel, each segment mapped individually in LED Strip Studio software. The LEC3 controller handles the data distribution, connected over Ethernet to the rest of the venue network.

The pixel LED tubes in the new bar zone are connected to the same Resolume Arena session that drives the main dance floor ceiling and the LED walls. The VJ or lighting operator can now synchronize the bar lighting, the ceiling animation, and the background LED panels into one coherent visual show — from a single interface.
