Project Quick Facts
A Showroom Inspired by Coins and Precious Metals #
Macho & Čaplovič is one of the leading numismatic companies in Slovakia. They are well known not only for dealing with rare coins and precious metals, but also for organizing auctions that attract collectors and investors alike. When they approached us to design the lighting for their main showroom in Bratislava, the goal was clear — to create a display that visually reflects value, elegance, and exclusivity.
The concept was directly inspired by the essence of their business: coins. The entire window display was divided into multiple sections shaped as circular elements. These forms immediately evoke coins and precious metals, creating a strong visual connection to the brand.
Technical Solution and LED Mapping #
Each circular segment was designed with a central cut-out, where we integrated a digital LED strip combined with a plexiglass diffuser. This ensured a smooth and even light output without visible LED points.
Because the installation relied heavily on curved shapes, we used LED Strip Studio for precise LED mapping. This software allows the creation of arc-shaped LED segments, giving us full flexibility to design animations that perfectly follow the geometry of the installation.
Dynamic Scenes for Every Occasion #
After completing the physical installation, we spent an evening with the client fine-tuning the lighting scenes. Together, we created multiple color schemes tailored to different situations throughout the year.
The default scene uses warm golden tones to evoke the look and value of precious metals while naturally attracting the attention of passersby. During important holidays or national sporting achievements, the display switches to the Slovak tricolor — white, blue, and red.
The client also embraced a more progressive approach. During events such as LGBT marches, the entire display transforms into vibrant rainbow colors, allowing the showroom to reflect current social moments.
Flexibility That Drives Attention #
This project is a great example of how powerful digital LED systems can be in advertising. A storefront no longer has to remain static — it can communicate, adapt, and respond in real time.
This kind of variability is exactly what captures attention. Dynamic lighting attracts far more eyes than any static display ever could. In the case of Macho & Čaplovič, we successfully combined design, technology, and brand identity into one cohesive experience.
The result is a showroom display that doesn’t just showcase products — it actively invites people to stop, look, and step inside.
