Project Overview #
TV Markiza is one of the most popular television stations in Slovakia, and their news studio had been running for nine years without a major refresh. As the most-watched news channel in the country, the visual quality of the backdrop directly impacts brand perception.
LED Strip Studio executed a complete overhaul using over 850 metres of digital LED strips, transforming an outdated set into a modern, flexible pixel LED studio.
System Design #
We designed the installation around LED Ethernet Controllers running LED Strip Studio software. The software’s pre-programmed scene library lets technicians change the entire studio colour mood with a single selection — no specialist LED knowledge required.

- Custom diffused profiles eliminating LED dot visibility on camera
- Pre-mapped scene library covering all programme formats
- DMX fallback for integration with the existing lighting desk
Results #
The renovated Markiza news studio significantly improved on-air visual quality. The pixel LED system gave the production team creative freedom they had never had with conventional fixtures, while the LED Strip Studio hardware met the demanding broadcast schedule with complete reliability.
