Project Overview #
Trafo Music Bar is considered one of Bratislava’s most forward-thinking live music venues. The original installation established the visual foundation for what would eventually transform the entire venue into a pixel LED showcase.
Why DMX for Club Installations #
Established clubs often have existing DMX lighting infrastructure. LED Strip Studio’s controllers support DMX input, allowing pixel LED strips to be added to an existing DMX ecosystem without replacing working equipment.
Controllers receive DMX512 from the venue’s existing lighting console, translating channel values into individual pixel colours:
- Existing console is reused
- Lighting tech works with familiar equipment
- Gradual LED expansion over time
- Full compatibility with standard lighting industry tools
Designed for Future Expansion #
The original Trafo installation was designed with expansion in mind. Controller positions, cable routes, and power distribution were sized to accommodate additional zones — something we always recommend for venues intending to evolve their LED installation.
This foresight paid off: Volume II added the bar area, creating one of the most comprehensive club LED installations in Slovakia.
