Project Overview #
Mate Slovo (Have Your Say) is one of Czech Television’s long-running public affairs debate programmes. After years with an outdated studio, the production team commissioned a complete visual overhaul.
In collaboration with Ungroup Studio, LED Strip Studio designed and installed a modern broadcast set featuring addressable RGB LED strips as the central visual element of the new studio architecture.
Design-Led LED Integration #
Unlike installations where LED strips are added to an existing set, this was a design-led installation where strips were conceived as part of the architecture from day one:
- LED strips concealed within purpose-built channels
- No visible hardware or cabling at any camera angle
- Diffuser profiles matched to the set material palette
- Consistent brightness across all camera positions
Control and Operation #
LED Strip Studio software with pre-programmed scenes for different programme segments — opening titles, debate segments, VT playback, and closing credits each have distinct lighting states. The production crew switch scenes with a simple interface requiring no specialist LED knowledge.
