In 2026, we got the call from Slovakia’s national TV to upgrade their broadcast studio for the Olympics season. The brief was ambitious, and the solution we built together is one of the most unique LED pixel installations we have ever delivered.

Tipico is the largest sports betting company in Austria, and they wanted a TV commercial that would stand out. The brief was clear: show a football match, but make it feel like something out of Matrix or Tron. That kind of brief is exactly where ProfiLED shines.

Prima is one of the top three TV networks in the Czech Republic. In 2019 they launched a brand-new 24-hour news channel under the CNN brand — CNN Prima News. To match that global name, they needed a studio that looked the part on camera.

This was the first two-floor TV studio we ever worked on. The project combined two separate technologies under one roof: digital addressable LED strips running through the set decorations, and a massive P10 LED panel wall covering 120 square metres of background.

Mate Slovo (Have Your Say) is one of Czech Television’s long-running public affairs debate programmes. After years with an outdated studio, the production team commissioned a complete visual overhaul.

In collaboration with Ungroup Studio, LED Strip Studio designed and installed a modern broadcast set featuring addressable RGB LED strips as the central visual element of the new studio architecture.

CashCab – Turning a Peugeot Roof Into a Live TV LED Display

A car isn’t exactly the first place you’d think to install a professional LED pixel display. There’s barely any headroom, power is limited, and a TV crew needs to film inside it all day long. We’d already done this once for the first season of CashCab — and it worked well enough that the production team came back and asked us to go further for the second run.

CashCab is a TV game show where contestants answer quiz questions while riding in a taxi. Get the answer right and you win money. Get it wrong and you’re walking. The format is simple, but the production team wanted the car’s interior to do more than just sit there. They wanted the ceiling to react — green for a correct answer, red for a wrong one, plus dynamic intro effects and color animations to keep the energy up during filming.

Sazka is the most popular lottery and game show broadcaster in the Czech Republic. Their television studio required a visually spectacular LED installation capable of producing the high-energy animated environments game shows demand.

TV Markiza is one of the most popular television stations in Slovakia, and their news studio had been running for nine years without a major refresh. As the most-watched news channel in the country, the visual quality of the backdrop directly impacts brand perception.

LED Strip Studio executed a complete overhaul using over 850 metres of digital LED strips, transforming an outdated set into a modern, flexible pixel LED studio.

Guess My Age is a very popular European TV show from Vivendi Entertainment. The main goal for contestants is to guess a person’s age as accurately as possible. The Slovak TV station JoJ has decided to launch this show in Slovakia as well. And, of course, they designed a brand-new TV studio for the show.

The backdrop of the TV studio consists of LED screens combined with our analog LED strips. In my opinion, the most beautiful feature is the ellipses in the center—each can be controlled independently, which is used quite often during the show.

TV studios demand precision. Every LED strip must align perfectly with camera angles, brightness must remain consistent across takes, and the system must operate reliably 24/7. The existing static lighting provided no flexibility for color changes between shows.

The TV JOJ studio in Bratislava remains one of LED Strip Studio’s technically most impressive broadcast installations. 850 metres of digital LED strips covering 40+ square metres of studio surface, all controlled by a single i5 PC running LED Strip Studio software.

This installation was significant not just for its scale, but as a proof of concept that a standard workstation could reliably drive this volume of addressable pixels in a live broadcast context.
